The day I get to introduce Subscribed has finally arrived 🙌
It has been a long time coming and I can’t wait to share the first version of the app with you. The feedback received during our initial user testing so far has been great and this only adds to the excitement of seeing how this product will evolve in the months to come.
I’ll try to keep this post short, with the aim of explaining the WHATs and the WHYs behind Subscribed in its mission to be the app that keeps you in the know.
First, some context…
Think about a time when there was some activity on the news that was of particular interest to you. It could have been related to elections, pandemics, local news, financial incentives, sports, or maybe even Love Island. You found yourself repetitively, and probably habitually, unlocking your phone to scroll through your favourite websites and social media platforms not to miss out on any of the latest updates. After some time, you realised how challenging it is to keep up, especially because of all the non-relevant content that leads to brain fog. Not to mention the time wasted because of mental drift.
That is where Subscribed comes in.

Users subscribe to targeted streams and relevant categories that matter most to them. Subscribed then uses a suite of technologies and AI to push customised real-time notification updates your way. You have full control over which notifications you receive, and how often you receive them based on your preferences.
What kind of updates?
Keeping up with the latest news has a great impact on having an informed society. This is why we chose to focus on news category subscriptions at launch.
You no longer have to spend time refreshing news websites or social media pages to keep up to date. Focus on what’s important instead. You will be more informed than the rest and some might question this new-found ability, so use with caution.
Who will be able to download the app?
We prefer to do fewer things right than many things wrong. For that reason, we chose to pilot over a small geographic region. At launch, Subscribed will be downloadable by users in Malta 
. For anyone living outside this region, we’re sorry, but do keep an eye out for future updates 🤓.
